Dates and times of 2012 Folk Arts Tradition Bearer DEMONSTRATIONS*

Friday October 12th from 12 noon – 5pm Note: Friday Folk Arts may be located within a special section of Festival (If artist wishes to stay open during Festival evening hours, until 10pm, please indicate below.)
Saturday October 13th from 12noon – 5pm (If artist wishes to stay open during Festival evening hours, until 10pm, please indicate below.)
Sunday October 14th from 11am – 4pm (If artist wishes to stay open during Festival evening hours, until 10pm, please indicate below.)
I am interested in extending the hours of my demonstration into the evening. (Note: extended hours may require relocation)

*Set up by 10:30am required on all three days, including Friday, October 12th.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME DEMONSTRATING AT TUCSON MEET YOURSELF, IMAGES OF YOUR WORK ARE REQUIRED. Complete this section only if this is your first time demonstrating your folk art at Tucson Meet Yourself.Please submit up to six images of items you plan to sell. Images can be submitted as individual images or grouped. Be sure to mark your CD or photos with your NAME OR GROUP NAME. Images will not be returned. List any food items you wish to offer samples of. Image Description – include materials, technique, etc. Attach additional descriptions if necessary. Please number images to correspond with list below.

Agreement

By executing this agreement, Artist or person filling out this application states and acknowledges receipt of the 2012 Tucson Meet Yourself Application and agrees to be bound by all rules and conditions set forth therein. Artist further agrees that images submitted for review by the 2012 TMY Folk Arts jury are representative of the work to be exhibited and demonstrated at the Festival. If Tucson Meet Yourself determines, in its sole discretion, that any work exhibited or demonstrated by Artist(s) does not conform to the standards set forth by Tucson Meet Yourself, Artist(s) agrees to remove such work from the booth space immediately upon request of Tucson Meet Yourself officials or representatives. Failure to remove such work or otherwise comply with all applicable rules and procedures may result in the immediate termination of Artist’s participation, without refund to or recourse by Artist(s). Artist agrees that images and artist information may be used by Tucson Meet Yourself for promotional purposes. Artist hereby releases the Tucson Meet Yourself from any and all liability on account of personal injury or property damage caused by theft, fire, public catastrophe, uncontrollable acts or any other cause. Artist agrees to Hold Harmless Tucson Meet Yourself if it suffers any loss or damage on account of any act in their part. Artist agrees that Tucson Meet Yourself at its sole discretion may prohibit the conduct of any activity whatsoever which it deems detrimental and not in the best interest of the Festival. Artist has read and agreed to abide by the terms and conditions of the Festival and to obey the Laws of the State of Arizona and the City of Tucson.

2012 Tucson Meet Yourself Festival Store Participation

In 2012, TMY Folk Arts Tradition Bearers who demonstrate at the Festival will have the opportunity to offer selected handicrafts for consignment in the TMY Store, which will be located in the Courtyard where the demonstrations are taking place. Once we receive your application we will give further details on how items for consignment will be selected, priced and displayed.
