Master Chef Walter Leible

Chef Walter LeibleWalter Leible CMC, AAC, BBA, WACS Global Master Chef, was born in Frankfurt, Germany. Chef Leible’s career began as a pastry apprentice at the age of 15. After graduation he began his dream career to become a chef and finished his apprenticeship as cook in the Black Forest Region of Germany.

Since that time, he has worked in some of the finest hotels, hotel resorts, country clubs, cruise ships, and restaurants in Germany, Sweden, England, Canada and the United States.

Chef Leible is an example in the culinary field. He is a member of the American Culinary Federation since 1980, Confrérie de la Chaine des Rôtisseures, German Chefs Association, Les Amis d’Escoffier, and received the Antony Carmen award in 2007. Chef Leible was a member of the US Western Regional Culinary Team, Culinary Olympics Frankfurt Germany in 1988, and culinary team manager for the Western Culinary Team 1992 Culinary Olympics Frankfurt Germany. He has four IKA gold and one silver medal, and was Team member for the 7th FHA International Salon Culinaire in Singapore, one team silver medal. He has various gold and silver medals in local culinary shows, as well as international shows. In 2008 he coached the International culinary School team which won five silver and one bronze medal. Chef Leible received the top award on the Forum of the 1st International Catering Industry from the China Hospitality Association in 2002. In 2004 he  received the ACF President Medal. In 1990, Chef Leible was voted Western Regional Professional Chef of the Year by his peers in the American Culinary Federation. Chef Leible is a Certified Culinary Judge and was president of the local Chefs Association of Greater Phoenix in 1999-2001. He also held the position of Apprentice Chair, Membership Chair, and Board Member of the Greater Phoenix Chefs Association.
