At Tucson Meet Yourself, we believe that when people share their culture, music and heritage, opportunities are created to dissolve misunderstandings, break down stereotypes and increase respect for our region’s diverse communities. Our Festival and our organization aim to accomplish just that. What will your donation support?
A gift of just $50 supports world folk music, arts and dance educational classes for youth through our free workshop programs.
A gift of $100 supports local traditional folk artists to continue honing and passing on their craft.
A gift of $250 supports the new James & Loma Griffith Arizona-Sonora Digital Archives, ensuring a legacy of folklife will be passed onto the coming generations.
A gift of $500 or more to Tucson Meet Yourself will ensure that TMY remains a healthy, vibrant organization and supporting our free annual Folklife Festival, now in our 38th year of celebrating traditional arts and everyday expressions.
Tucson Meet Yourself can also accept your gift of stocks or securities. If you have stock that you have owned for more than one year, and it has appreciated since you purchased it, you can save on the capital gains tax you would owe if you sold it yourself by donating the stock to Tucson Meet Yourself. And since Tucson Meet Yourself is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, you will be entitled to an income tax deduction for the full current market value of your gift, to the extent allowed by law.
