Middle Eastern
Next
Middle Eastern music sounds somewhat exotic to those raised in Western culture and it does have some identifiable characteristics that distinguish it from the European-influenced music.

Middle Eastern performances at the festival include Oud player,
Samir Riahi entertains the crowd with unforgettable Middle Eastern melodies.

Another wonderful group of Middle Eastern entertainers,
Dancers in the Desert, perform Belly Dancing gigs that excite the festival audience. These professional dancers dress in brilliant costumes that render added flair and charm to the experience, as do a group called Veils of Mystery, known for their varied dance interests; primarily Egyptian Cabaret, Folkloric, and American Tribal Belly Dance styles.

Middle Eastern music, for the most part, can be divided into the following categories: classical music, folk music, modern music, and pop music. In this respect, at least, it is not so very different from Western music. The term "traditional music" can often refer to folk music, modern music, or classical music.

The music of the Middle East in general is very complex and cannot be put into a nut shell. It greatly varies according to the dance that is being performed and is generally altered to meet the expectations of a crowd.

Tucson Meet Yourself presents an unmatched variety of extraordinary events each year at the festival. People that experience the charm of it all come back every year to relive the experience.
